Participation at Cal Race Week continues to be a highlight for the “fleet
where the best compete” with more boats than any other fleet in Santa
Monica Bay.
With a building afternoon breeze after a morning offshore flow and
perfect temperatures for racing around the buoys, the 2011 Cal Race week was
underway.
After two days and four races Mike George's “All In” was eye to eye
with Peter Stazicker’s “Trolleycar”. Let’s talk about tight racing; it was
all to come down to the final race for all the marbles!
First place as it turns out, in a weekend of closely contested sailboat
racing went to Mike George’s “All In” winning the race and the series
with 12 accumulated points.
Second place went to Peter Stazicker & Team “Trolleycar”.
Third place went to the King Harbor Yacht Club’s  “Pau Hana” owned
by Paul Zambriski with 22 accumulated points.
There were only two points separating third from fifth with one
point taking you to the fourth place winner, Yumio Dornberg’s "305".
Only one more little point took you to fifth place with Duncan
Cameron’s “Dean”.
